Why should my child participate in the ice show?
Skaters choose to participate in ice show performances for a variety of reasons, the most common of which are to have FUN, display creative talents and enjoy this unique, entertaining, and artistic aspect of the figure skating. Ice shows put the expressive, choreographic, and musical interpretation aspects of skating at the forefront. Skaters participating in these events benefit greatly as they not only work on improving skating skills, but also improve expression, poise, eye contact and musical interpretation ability on the ice. Group performances also incorporate teamwork and cooperation between young skaters.
· Skaters who choose to participate in the Learn to Skate USA /HFSC show practice are committing to practicing the group routine and performing in the ice show (at least 2/3 practices).
· Skaters who choose to participate in the LTS USA HFSC Show will practice and perform with combined color/level groups selected by LTS coaches.
· The show participation fee is $45.00. The show fee includes 2 tickets to the ice show for parent/s ($20 value).
· Skaters are responsible for purchasing/ providing their own costumes based on the simple requirements.
· LTS Taster Show Skaters: If you choose to participate in the group performance as well as your solo please use discount code CLUBLTSGROUP at check out. Your solo fee has already paid your show fee.
· Practice will run alternate lesson time. When skaters would usually have warm up and/or practice they will participate in ice show practice for 25 mins. Skaters will be grouped by level and learn and practice a group routine for the show. They will also work with their peers to create something fun and professional to perform!
· Skaters will be grouped by March 19th and all participants will receive an email about groups and costumes.
